i just got a chance to climb these boulders. be sure to take a jump off the 30-ft high "jumping rock" afterwards to cool off. oh, and don't be surprised if the parking lot is full from dusk till dawn. there are cars constantly waiting for half an hour at a time to get a spot. you can park up on the hill / highway that overlooks the beach, and if those spots are all taken you can park on the residential roads about 1/4 mile away down the 83 (or is it 830? i don't remember). walk down the few trecherous paths off the highway if you dare.

Make sure to lock your car, waimea is a great place but anything not hidden is at risk of being jacked........

you can also park at the Audubon center directly across the street from the parking lot. it's about a 10 minute walk.
