Does anyone know good crags for outdoor rock climbing in winter that offer climbing courses? If it is in the East Coast and close to Maryland, better.

I know that there are some climbing schools active in the winter in Joshua Tree, but it so far away...

Thanks a lot.

I know of a couple schools that teach outdoors winter classes. Try Outerquest- a company that offers courses on climbing located in Potomac. They teach at Great Falls and Carderock. They're website is http://www.teamouterquest.com. Also Potomac Outdoors offers great classes with they're program called adventure climbing schools www.adventureschool/potomac2.html They teach all over the east coast including New River Gorge and Seneca Rocks (this is for lead climbing classes), but they also teach in Maryland. The company in based in Cabin John, MD on the Potomac River. Sportrock also has classes and i'm not sure but i believe Calleva has outdoor classes in the winter too. Hope this helps!!! If u need more info u can e-mail me because i live in the area.
