Coming from Canada to boulder in mid-March.
1)Is JTree fairly warm herer in the day?
2)Can you enter/drivein unlimited with a 7 day car pass or is it a one enter-per-pay kinda thing?: my son is with and may want to go to eat in 29Palms.
3)What are the best places this time of year in the LA-San Diego-JT areas regarding weather and good access roads for a rental car?
4)What is most kid friendly bouldering areas?
thanks!

all good answers

4. There is a really good bouldering guide to Jtree by Robert Miramontes.

There are a number of good bouldering areas right next to hidden valley CG. the asteroid belt, just north of cyclops rock, and east of the CG is nice.

Texas boulders, just off the road to the west, to the west of the CG are fun too.

Turtle rock bouldering, behind turtle rock when in the parking lot, also good.

TONS of great bouldering spots there.

Are places like Robidioux, Woodson, Santa Barbara, good to have a kid around or are they dangerous/sketchy approaches? I was at Stoney Point once but seemed a tad trashy to me!-eeck i hope that doesn't insult anyone, i'm sorry!
