DDT: Thread in Campground about a couple users having problems connecting ("Greenbeards" thread.) See here: http://www.rockclimbing.com/...;;page=unread#unread Something to talk to the Gossamer folks about, maybe? If anyone else on the site is having issues getting connected, post here when you can, or send me an e-mail and I'll copy it to here. My e-mail is reno316@hotmail.com. Put something in the subject line about RC.com so it doesn't get blasted by my spam filter. You can also send smoke signals, send a carrier pigeon, or leave a message in the men's bathroom at the Flying J truck stop in Holbrook, AZ, third stall from the door. And no, I don't have a wide stance.

Does it happen all the time, or just sometimes? Are you running any client-side scipts (e.g. GreaseMonkey)? DDT

i've had one of the original JT scripts from the beginning without issues.. i never got the updates since all i needed was the kill filing :) It had been happening all day today .... except now that i posted about it.. see.. kicking it does help! I'd say don't worry about it unless other folks have the same issue.. i'll post up if it comes back

Kicking DOES seem to help! I haven't had log in problems once since reporting the log in trouble I had been having in "the clausti incident."

rc.com is not loading in Mozilla. yes, i updated jay's kf script last week, but had no troubles for several days of use. Greasemonkey is now off, still no loading. IE seems to load fine, though overall the site has seemed slower than usual over the past week. Probably the BET thread clogging things up, eh?

I use Mozilla...Like I said - No problems since I last kicked. So far, it doesn't seem there is a common denominator in what's going on. I have noticed that Campground loads significantly slower than any other forum lately, though.

perhaps I'll try rebooting the system... I've already killed the program a couple of times, to no avail. Until then, IE's working ok, if a bit unfamiliar (which isn't a bad thing i guess.)

Another option is to do a system restore. Last resort, back up your files (you do this anyway, right?) and reinstall Windoze.

Last resort, back up your files (you do this anyway, right?) and reinstall Windoze. i rebooted, I've got AVG on the spybot/malware front, I update windows every week (it seems) automatically on it's own scheduled nights... whatever the culprit was, it seems to have corrected itself. Maybe I'll have to turn the greasemonkey back on and see if the trouble starts back up. ? and no insult inferred there reno... you know any recent statements on my part were of the same stripe.. right? just jabbing at the inconsistencies within the framework of the site management, as I am wont to do sometimes. nothing personal
