what are the tallest indoor climbing walls in the world? (I know there is a similar thread elsewhere but its 4 years old http://www.rockclimbing.com/...ring=tallest;#551895 ) stoneworks gym in Texas is the tallest in N. America (but not the world). boiler room in Ontario is the tallest in Canada. I've searched google and the net extensively to find out which indoor walls are taller than stoneworks, but to little avail. Anyone know?

the boiler room in ontario has a 4 sided chimney that's 100 feet high. It's a big place, but I don't remember the route quality.

The Kendall wall is the tallest I have ever been to. Up to 20m tall with a little belay cave at half height. REally really cool wave/overhang with a stalactite almost touching down too. http://www.kendalwall.co.uk/

Ratho is fucking huge (like 33M tallest wall - you can even multi-pitch it!) and has the largest surface area of any climbing gym in the world, but I believe the is one that is taller in mainland Europe - some tall tower or something.

I always wanted to know: Can you climb on the natural rock that surround the artificial walls?

No. It sucks, but they have made all the routes in the gym on natural rock off limits. Godzilla E1 I think) is meant to be awesome, but is now just accumulating dust. there are two bolted lines, around 7B, that you can climb if you're "in" with the gym workers, though. -MagnuS
