I will be in the area in mid April with my brother. We'll be out near Zion, hiking there and probably mountain biking out by Bryce, but I'd like to get at least one climbing day in on our trip. His priority isn't climbing, but I'm looking for some fun routes. Should I bring a rack? Is it worth picking up the Southern Utah guide by Todd Goss? Seems like overkill for one day... I was leaning towards an area with a short approach and maybe some nice ~3 pitch climbs. Snow Canyon seemed good, with Pygmy Alien or Leopard Skin being easy multipitch with nice views. It also sounds like there is some sport cragging to fill out the day. My sport and trad leading are wildly disparate at them moment... Any recommendations on trad climbs up to ~5.7 and sport climbs up to mid 11s? Should I be looking somewhere besides Snow Canyon? Crawdad Canyon?

If the route database here isn't enough...you might be able to find something on mountainproject.com
