I searched the forums for a couple minutes and couldn't find an answer to my question so if I missed something just let me know.

If I had a friend who was thinking about possibly putting up some new sport routes in the future at either Camelback or Papago or any other city park can anyone tell me if there is a permit or application process needed or if he/she could just go and do something like that?

This is a hypothetical question only.

Thanks all!

A good buddy of mine from prison always say's it is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

I pretty sure you don't need a permit. Just be smart and safe.

You should ask Manny or "sonso45" on this site. He's the only one I know that is currently putting up routes out there.

Thanks for the info. I did actually PM Manny and he told me there is no permit required. Of course being very cautious because of Camelback's notoriously crappy rock and being corteous of the surrounding neighborhoods is in order but no permit. Yay! Thanks!
