So I am planning to be in Colorado Springs in early may. I was just wondering, what are the best places to climb around there? Any kind of climbing really, trad, boulder, alpine. I would love to hear about your favorite spots.

Anyone out there done McReynolds Peak?http://www.summitpost.org/trip-report/353352/-mcreynolds-peak-an-obscure-5-9-12er-you-never-heard-of.html If so, what size cams did you use at the summit? Also, What size rack should I take? Big cams, little cams? Everything?

In Colorado Springs there is only a few close by crags. But, we have Garden of the Gods, which has a bunch of tourists. Red Rock Canyon Open Space which is very secluded and lots of fun. Cheyenne Canon which has a bunch of trails, a couple multi-pitch, and awesome waterfalls. Ute Valley Park is mostly bouldering since all the cliffs and boulders are under 50 feet. Also, there are a couple good places up on Rampart Range road. All of these mentioned are all under 20 minutes away. But, if you don't mind traveling the best places are shelf road and eleven mile.
