Anyone have any suggestions for spots to set up a top rope? I have a couple locations I've scoped out and am planning to give a try, but thought I would see if anyone else has any advice.

Any luck with top roping in Lynn Woods?
If so, where?

So far no real success, no, but I did check out the Mt. Spickett area today which has a lot of great bouldering problems and some potential toproping spots. Not too far from the Ballfield parking lot, either.

Is that straight up behind the ballfield heading towards the watertowers? Also do you know if there is anywhere worthwhile in the southern part of the woods, bouldering or top roping?

I imagine that if you can get high enough it's all sort of the same hill. The way I get there is to park at the Ballfield and head to the right of the pond on the fireroad. Go through the gate and up/over the hill. When you get to the bottom of the hill, look up and to the right (ie, away from the pond). You'll see the rocks through the trees. You can pick your way through the bushes up to it -- pretty cool area.

Also, be sure to check out www.lynnwoodsbouldering.com

thanks, ive scoped that area out before. just need to try some of it.
I've spent some time a little further down the road. If you know where wetamoo cliffs are and balancing boulder, there are a few cool things in between them and in that area, right off the Overlook trail. Also I've seen some stuff right off the trail that leads from the ballfield up towards the watertowers (the trail starts before the fire road, i think by the old chimney ruins). This trail is not marked on some maps, but i think it has blue or black hash marks on the trees. Ive seen some rocks that may have some potential along that.
