Why does Mammut suck?

Seriously,
I bought an expensive coat from them and stitches started coming out almost immediately. I fixed that myself, but the zipper is screwed and they won't respond to my complaints. Not cool.
mammut made their rep. producing ropes; i'd stick to buying ropes from them and get clothes from a company that has made their rep. in that area., like patagonia.

I'd like a fourth option on the voting. 4.They don't suck.
I've never owned any of their clothing, but I do find it hard to believe that they won't respond to you.
That doesn't sound like them at all. I've got a few ropes, a sleeping bag, a couple of jackets and several other pieces of cloths from them and everything is top notch. I've only had one problem with an order from them it was taken care of asap.
i'm a big fan of mammut products. i own ropes, clothing and their avalanche beacons, never had a problem with quality.
Gotta agree there. I don't own any Mammut ropes because I prefer smoother sheaths, but this jacket is probably my favorite piece of climbing gear, hard or soft. It's built with a sort of quality that makes my other gear seem poorly made in comparison. I wish I had discovered Mammut's technical clothing sooner.
I own a few pieces of mammut gear, mostly ropes. I love their ropes, but their carabiners wear out real quick under normal use (mine have deep groves from use at the power point of an anchor).
The contact info listed above is for thier retail shop, which is not who you should call for something like this. I recommend you go right to the wholesale and distribution facility (which will end up handling this sort of thing anyway). Contact info:
I've got biners, jackets, gloves, shoes and a headlamp from them and all have performed great. Used their ropes all summer and loved them too.
Also, I managed to break my headlamp this past weekend, and sent an email to mammut usa in vermont, address is listed an above reply, and before the day was over they had replied asking for my address and such so they could give me a RA# and get me a replacement.
I'd take mammut over patagucci any day

That's far too obvious. Can't you recommend a more complicated solution?
I originally posted this out of frustration, because I had contacted their customer service rep twice over several months, with no response. Right after posting this, I got a response from my third email, telling me to send it in. Just thought it would be fair to say that they did eventually resolve the problem.
The poll lacked a fourth, "they don't suck", option because it was a sarcastic poll. Once the poll makes sense, it's no longer a meaningless rant against a company I was pissed at, which was the intention of the thread. Sorry to all the would-be-voters.
