Hey I was wondering if anyone has been out here yet and wondered if it was clean. I have a group of 6 or so that wants a couple top-ropes some day soon. We go to IUP and am looking for the closest place that has a few climbs. pm me or reply to this with any info. Thanks in advance.

dharmatreez would be the best person to ask about that. He lives pretty close and knows the area well. I have never been there myself. If you don't mind bits (ok TONS) of broken glass, you could also check out Derry High Rocks. I spoke to Fred from Exkursion last week and he confirmed that it is definitely open again to climbing. I found the glass to be highly disturbing but didn't pose any significant problems as long as you were careful.

Just wanted to bump the old thread. I have a group that wants to learn belay and we are looking to go here. Has anyone been here this season? Any access issues? Is camping free or paid?

I haven't been there yet this year, but generally speaking, don't go there unless it hasn't rained for a while or isn't too humid.

Cool. thanks for the replies. I have a few guys going tomorrow afternoon, hopefully it isn't too busy with the 80° weather. We will have probably 3 top-rope routes set up. Feel free to stop by. Chicken and rice on the pocket rocket for lunch.

I think this should be called little McConnell's Mills. No really big climbs but bouldering potential is amazing. 30 foot is probably the highest top-rope. slabs and scarmbles are fun. Not really a lot of cracks for lead maybe a couple. good to get out. this place is pretty cool. next time: slackline, grilled chicken, and bringing fire power for the rednecks...
