Cindylou and I are heading to Eldo to climb Ruper. After that, we're heading to SSun around 5pm, probably stick around till 8 or so. See y'all later this evening. Public Service reminder: SS does not take credit cards, so bring some cash or you'll be washing dishes to pay your tab.

Anyone want to get out this weekend and climb? I *know* some of you are. Since IC fizzled and I'm definitely bummed, I'm interested in anything.

Hello everyone, Im Shane- Nice to meet ya ! I live in CO. Springs. I am looking for peeps to climb with, as much and often as possible. Im back after a shoulder tear last Sept., and am ready to get back in the saddle full swing! I climb sport or trad, see my profile for grades. I have gear and a truck that can haul 5 and all we have. Ive been climbing for 14+yrs. Been to every sport place within 200 miles and too much trad to name. I love to travel and climb in as many place and on as many diff. types of rock possible. I see you all are trying to get a solid group together and I am SOOO DOWN for that. I can climb any time after four on weekdays and on weekends. My job is very flex, so road trips- here we come! I live in Cheyenne Canyon, there is climbing minutes from my front door and am no more than 45min- 2.5hrs from everywhere else thats good. I always have room for peeps to crash, just bring some beer! So all you climberz ready to pull down, get in touch and lets tear it up!! Stop by www.myspace/rokclimer and join my ~Climberz Unite~ page. Home for many a vertical junkie. I look forward to meeting everyone and having some good times. Feel free to email or pm me w/ any questions and info. See you out there. Climb hard. Climb Safe. L8R Shane

I didn't have any luck over at MP with this so I thought here might be better-er.. "gimp need a top rope" Local Colo springs.. Anyone interested in casual/moderate climbing or bouldering give me a ring. Working PT and have lotsa time on hand for weekdays/weekends. I've been climbing 25 years + and getting back into things after 3 year layoff after severe injury. Can handle semi-short approach's, but not much more than a mile or so. Have gear, rope etc. Have work truck, but is a gas hog. -Dave cell 719-761-8264

In reply to: micahisaac wrote: Welcome back Reno! Flamer, how was Red Rocks? What ended up happening? And announcing the official dates for "Cinco de Shelf" (after being told it's my job to post this). May 2-4th We'll be at Shelf for some fun in the sun/bolt clipping. Hope to see the crew back together, so plan on coming. Everyone is invited! New people and out of towners are especially invited. And who's interested in a CREEK trip 25-27th of April? I've got a few takers already and I think this might go down if there's enough interest (cams). Well, Cinco de Shelf sounds fun, I'm in. Is this a "regular" thing you all have been doing? Fun. So, deatils- What Campground, Sand Gulch(the best one)? What days? Whos going? Is CORONA our sponsor? ;),lol I am going down thursday after work. So, Ill be there bout 5ish, plannin' to stay through Sun. I'm the "new kid on the block", but I am a real motivated and excited to meet everyone! I drive a red nissan Titan(4identification purposes), so whenevr you arrive, just come on over and say hi. [for TB]- I believe you will be there on Thursday? I will call your cell or u call mine, and we'll make plans to meet up....? Right on everyone, see you there!?!?!? Climb hard. Climb safe. L8R Shane 719-896-0909

ok "CINCO DE SHELF" fans, here it is: This weekend 2nd-4th We will be at the Sand Gultch campground at Shelf. Directions can be found here It'd be great if you guys who are going down on thursday could squat on the site for us. Everyone is invited! This is a great time to get out and meet some fun peeps. Bring whatever beverages and food you like, this is generally a very lax time of being social and crankin down some sport wankery. Please organize rides through this forum, and feel free to pm me if you think I can help. I'm really a nobody, but I have been commissioned by others to get the ball rolling on this. Hope to see a bunch of people there!

I would love to join in the Cinco de Shelf festivities. I can leave Thursday or Friday and return Sunday or Monday (from CS). I would be happy to drive a few folks. I can fit three more bodies in my Element or fewer depending on how much gear each person brings. I'll be sleeping in the car so riders would just have to plan on moving their gear out into their tent once we arrive.

The weather does look to possibly be a bit challengeing... The forcast is 56 n cloudy tomorrow, 58 sun/clouds on Fri, 66 and 69 sun/clouds on sat and sun. A bit cooler through the nights, mid/upper 30's. No precip forecasted. Seems bearable and good enough if not ideal for some good climbing. I'll bring extra wood in case we need extra fire. Just prep for a bit cooler than average and a good bag to stay warm at night. Plus, if you know Shelf, it always warmer and moderate than the springs. The wind may be our only crux! If the group spot is open, I'll grab it, If not, Ill grab a 3-4 sites if poss since I havent heard much back. **there is a fire on cheyenne mtn in the springs. I am a Wildland firefighter, and I may be paged out to fight it, depends on weather. If I am, I might not get down there till Fri. morning. Ill let you all know** Climb On people! :) See u there!!

Well, sorry- weather repost. That last one was from Accuweather. Weather channel says, 2maro- high 49, cloudy, chance precip 60% Fri.- high 55, mostly cloudy, precip 30% Sat- high 61, partly cloudy, precip 20% Sun- high 63, mostly cloudy, precip 30% Does this change things for anyone?? Let me know..... If its uber crappy 2maro, ill go fri. But shelf is usally a bit better than the springs and canon city. So, I guess Mother nature is in control for the moment. Play it by ear...........

SWEET! Well, just saw the late weather- optimistic:) Looks only mildly cloudy, temps in the low/mid 50s. The precip is mostly north and in the high country, maybe a small chance of isolated on thurs, thats about it. Nice for Sat and Sun! It sounds like most, at least from this post, will be there mostly through the weekend. There is supposed to be others, not on this post, there too? I was called out for "mop-up" on the fire, so it is most likely Ill be there on fri. morning. If its open, Ill grab the group spot, at Sand Gulch, with anyone else that is there. I hope there is others, cuz I'm flyin solo. Im stoked to pull down hard and celebrate Cinco De Mayo- SHELF STYLE! See you all there.

All, I have the group camp site at Sand Gulch secured for the weekend. Paid thru Sunday. Look for my blue tent at the site. If it looks like more than 20 people will show, I can pay for the regular site next to the group site also. Someone should call and let me know, but keep in mind cell phone is sporadic and I won't have e-mail access after this. (3 0 2) 2 2 9 6 0 3 4 The troutboy-weather forecast: 2 hours ago - Thunder snow and wind Now - mostly sunny and windy, 50 degrees in Canon City. Don't let the weather keep you away. Looks like the front moved through already. C ya Tim
