Thanks for securing the site Tim! And for the invite/details Micah. I plan to drive down on Saturday morning, and stay until Sunday afternoon. I'll be in an orange Element and plan to show up around 9:30am or so... I look forward to seeing you all there, and to meeting the new folks! : ) Alyce

Well, even though I didn't get a chance to meet up with most of you until late Saturday, it was a great weekend! Cinco de Shelf was lots of fun with you all...friends both old and new. Thank you all for the great times, patient belays, shared cookies, chocolate, and breakfast sausage! And the awesome stories around the campfire...Can't wait to do it again. : )

Shelf was good times - it was cool climbing with some of the ol' crew again, and equally cool meeting some new folks. I hope we all can pull some more weekends together - shelf, turkey, voo, monastery, DH, all great places to spend the weekend! so, want to get out on saturday? Denver / Boulder area or Estes park?

Hey, I'm looking for partners to get out climbing with. I'm just getting back to climbing regularly but have been getting outside a sadly small amout this season. I'll probably be looking for mostly sport climbing 10's and 11's and should be back to low 12's within a couple month of getting outside regularly, but will hapily belay for anything. I'd happily do some trad too, low 10 and under and I'm not into that scary runout stuff. I've been getting up to Rock'n Jammin pretty regularly now and would happily climb with any of y'all in there first if it makes you more comfortable. Oh, I should just add I've been climbing for about 8 years, so am a bit experienced. Brian

Kudo's to Flamer for a styling performnce on The Cruise in the Black Canyon. Flamer the OW machine motored up the famous OW (my knees prove just how much I thrashed!) and fired the following Cruise crux in stye. For those not in the know. The Cruise is distinct from its slightly easier and more frequently done variation the Scenic Cruise. Good climbin with you Bro.

I'd be down to take a lap on dreamweaver, but based on conditions reports and the fact that RMNP got about 1.5 ft of new snow this last week, it could be an unconsolidated death trap right now. Last year I climbed it in June and it was perfect (RMNP had less snow last year). Micah and I might be in the area though just hiking around. If you go tell us what you find! P.S- anyone up for the Monastery or CC on saturday?

With the winter and spring we have had, I'm sure it will be there this year. Maybe I'll go up there Sunday and scout it. Sounds like the Park is not such a good idea... "...with almost two feet of new snow landing in the high country in the last 7 days and current avalanche conditions are in the CONSIDERABLE danger rating above treeline with pockets of HIGH danger on steep and lee aspects in the alpine zone. Below treeline the avalanche danger is currently rated MODERATE. This weekend's forecast for the warmest weather of the year will likely produce some of the biggest "shedding events" of the spring season which could include cornice collapses and widespread slab and point-release avalanches on all aspects above treeline."

Hey guys, I just moved to Colorado a month or 2 ago and looking for one or two partners to do some alpine-ish stuff. Did two alpine courses over the last three years and 2 alpine trips (alpine climbing isn't very easy accesable living in the Netherlands and doing a full-time study). So looking for someone to start of relative easy an make progress along the way. Shoot me an email if interested Martin martinheineke@hotmail.com
