Spent the weekend in the Humbug spires... Beautiful little area although it was a little blustery... Here are a couple images from an unknown route in the area... Coarse, bloody grussification took place throughout the process..





Also, I found a point and shoot digital complete with documentation of some youngsters trip to climb the wedge... Maybe I should post up some photos in an attempt to identify the owner?

I have wanted to make it to the humbugs for several years now. Lots of rock in between here and Dillon area though. What would you rate that sweet splitter?

we are not sure what the first ascentionists had rated it.. jason estimated it to be a 5.8+

If you walked from the wedge to the Friends wall and then over the divide above Friends wall, this little buttress was down the hill a ways... There is some more sweet potential for routes here including some fantastic looking slab paddling...

Ok, that makes sense...thanks. Lots of good potential beyond friends...rumor has it the original cabin guide beta may have been located and hopefully will resurface...I'd love to climb some of the forgotten classics out there...

You find evidence of prior ascents on that one? Pins? old tat?

Love the Humbugs....such a special place.
