I'm talking abut beirut in Oceanside. For an example of what I mean, take a look at this photo:
http://www.rockclimbing.com/photos/Bouldering/Beirut_is_right__33386.html

Now, I know that the city(?) has recently gone through and painted all the rocks gray, which was a nice touch, but they are already getting new layer of "artwork" on them. And half the time it seems there is a fresh, slimy paintball mark right where you need to put your foot.

This is the closest climbing area to my house, and I actually like it quite a bit. I climb there at least once a week, and I think the place has (or maybe had) good potential. It just pisses me off that it is surrounded by vista and oceanside.

Any ideas? I'm thinking booby traps...

Come down to Mt. Woodson for some world class (short) routes that will make you strong.

Oh believe me I do. I love that place! Its where I've been learining how to crack climb for a few years now. But Beirut is five minutes from my house and Woodson is 40+. I have contemplated moving to poway though...
