Anyone tried to climb Chimney Rock, Idaho in 2008? I tried to access it from Pack River on June 16, only to be shut down by a raging uncrossable tributary in the first 1/2 mile of the approach. We tried to run up the ridge there and topped out 2 miles north of Chimney Rock. 6-8 feet of snow on the crest, brought snowshoes. A really long day hike with way too much gear. Good fun though. Any one tried to access from Horton Creek RD/Priest Lake Side? I want details. Snow condition on the rd and the trail. Thanks John
