I'm leaving for Manchester Bridge (Richmond, VA) in about half an hour and just realized that I never checked into the dog-friendlyness of the area. Anyone happen to know (very soon at that) if Manchester is Fido friendly?

dogs are allowed... and the whopping six other climbers that showed at manchester today seemed to like her.

she's well trained, stayed tied and away from belays. probably the only reason they liked her.

Yeah, dogs arent a problem at Manchester and most people just let them run. Of course if shes a swimmer or prone to wandering off that might not be a good idea.

there were a couple guys bouldering/ climbing the piers and as I was on the main wall I kept her tied just so she wouldn't run off and bother them.

like I said though, everyone seemed really cool with her being there.

is that place ever crowded? i've only been 3 times but each time i've only seen a dozen other climbers tops (all day count).

Occasionally it does. Oddly enough thursday is sometimes a bit crowded, couldnt say why but it is.

When it does get that way anything worth doing thats 5.8 and under has a TR strung on it but all the .9's and .10's are open, so its not to bad. Mostly people standin around talking and occasionally climbing.
