Last August my girlfriend, dog and I spent a week at Baker river. It was a little pricey but everything around the area was. We looked at another campground up the road but it was not as nice as Baker. We stayed all the way in the farthest corner near the river I think campsite 25. It was a sand covered area with good places for tents and far away from all the hardcore car campers and RV's. It was peaceful except right across the river is Tenney Mtn Highway which got loud from the motorcycles in the middle of the night. Showers are awesome and actually really clean. Overall I would stay there again. Just make sure you drive really really really slow through the place, a lot of people yell at you if you go over 5mph.
