where is some good sport climbing near bear valley that is kinda steep and not a far walk from the place you park. Thank you

I guess it depends on where you park, and on what you mean by "good sport climbing." If you're looking for good slab lead in the 5.4 to get the kids out on the sharp end, we got ya covered. But if I was looking for sporty bolted routes in the range of 5.10, I think I'd park just shy of 30 miles east of the box pullout.

There are 2 places, with some "good" sport climbing within 12 miles or so from Bear. There are a couple of other routes here and there. Also there are some by Sandflat Campground but I have only climbed there once and do not know much about the area. Not a lot and short but most are fairly good. Most are fairly moderate .6-11 and short. Lots of the routes around there are "mixed routes".
