Is "Tinman" the same route as "Tin Tangle?" There's no route named "Tinman" in either Tim Olson's book (Portland Rock Climbs) or Ron Horton's book (Weekend Rock Oregon), but both list a route named "Tin Tangle" that is between Giant's Staircase and Emerald City. I'm just trying to sort out if these are the same route, or if "Tinman" is something different. I talked to several locals who are frequent visitors to French's and none of them knew what/where "Tinman" was.

Also, does "The Americas" go by any other name? It's not in either book either. How would you describe this route in relation to the original start to Giant's Staircase (the current description is in relation to the mysterious "Tinman").

Finally, there is some disagreement between these two books regarding "Do it Again" and "Tin Tangle." Which is L and which is R? (Olson's says "Do it" is left; Horton's says it's right).

Maybe someone could clear up the beta/topos for the low end of the rock (L-R from Giant's "variation" (but apparently more commonly used) start to Emerald City)?

Thanks!
