Please don't go to either of those places.

I guess cushman ain't too bad, if you plan on swimming and climbing 2 short slab climbs. Maybe 3.

Fossil rock sucks. There's one good route on the cliff, and the entire thing is a conglomerate of random sedimentary rocks congealed in a cement like (as in way more weaker than cement) glue of mud. Check yourself for ticks if you go there

Make it out to leavenworth or index, you'll be much happier.
In the fall, go to tieton, and then when that's too cold go to vantage AKA frenchman's coulee.

+1 for Index. For great granite trad climbing, you just can't beat the concentration of climbs at Index. Some say it's the best granite crag in the US. Be prepared to either climb hard, or get your butt kicked.

Does anybody know the best place near Tacoma 2-4 hours, to climbing right now? Mar-Apr?
