I'm planning a trip to Frey and the surrounding clip up areas in early December and was looking to get word from anybody that has cruised these spots. I'm flying solo and have heard finding folks to rope up with won't be much of a problem, but hucking all my gear sounds a bit daunting since I want to do some trekking as well. Anybody know about safe houses where I could rent some gear storage? Any essentials that I should be bringing that I might not think of?? How about specifics on weather and temps during December and January? Gracias

Stop by Club Andino in Bariloche to pick up a guide book if you don't already have one. We left gear at a random hostel. Go light in terms of food and bring plenty of cash to pay for pizzas and beer and wine at the hut. No need to bring much in terms of camping cookware, as they have a bunch for communal use in the hut (including kettles and gourds to your hearts content for mate). Camp away from the crapper or you'll smell it all night. I can't think of any special gear you'd need. Bring clothes for brisk mornings and evenings and for wind and rain. Nothing special is needed for rack. We brought a rack of cams with doubles in fingers through hands and a set of nuts. The last 12 albums here http://picasaweb.google.com/daniel.ressler are from Frey. Enjoy!

I am going to be in Bariloche from 11/30 - 12/11. Would love to meetup with anyone in the area for alpine, trad, or sport climbs.
