I don't think I've found "The Monolith" at Allamuchy; but I have located one large (maybe 20-ft.-high) glacial erratic. A woman walking her dog on the trails (local?) referred to this erratic at "The Pebble" and I wonder if it's locally known by that name? Anyone know anything about "The Pebble" at Allamuchy? Climbed it? Mr. D

I know this is old, but... Lots of nice boulders in that area. No way down from the pebble though without a rope.

Nice to see that you apparently saw the potential in The Pebble and climbed it. I checked out your pix and think I recognize that overhang, too. Thanks for the response, even after all this time!
