Planning a trip out there for January 16-19 and I was wondering if there's still a bunch of snow on the ground there, as was shown in another topic earlier in December. If there is still snow on the ground, anywhere else in that area to go climb instead? Thanks.

I was out their last weekend and the only snow around is on some distant mountains... the conditions are great except that its freeeeeeeezing! (highs of 50) when i went and 15mph winds! my suggestion is to bring a jacket or 2 and gloves!

Sounds pretty good. Were you able to finish a route without your hands freezing off? Also, the campsites are first-come-first-serve right? Any problems getting a site?

I was there last week and it was beautiful.
Campsites are first come first serve but if they are all full you can always find someone with an extra parking spot and ask to share.

After all sharing is caring!

I was out there last week -- no snow on the ground. If you find some routes in the sun with the wind shielded you'll be great. I wasn't cold in the slightest but I was layered. Oh yeah and bring gloves.
