I'm considering spending the next year (or four) at UT Austin. Any climbing within a reasonable distance?

Enchanted Rock is decent. I only spent a day there, but I think it's about 100 miles from Austin.

Ooooo yes. Reimer's ranch has excellent sport, and Pace beng makes for some great summer DWS. Also check into the greenbelt. try the book "austin rock" for routes (it's pretty easy to find) and www. bloodyflapper.com for bouldering.
