ok, so i'm probably still considered 'beginner' on ice although i'm into my 4th or 5th season of ice... and we're headed up to mammoth (ca) in march & had heard about a couple falls local to the resort. what's close? i know there's stuff in june, but not familiar enough w/the area. can anyone offer tips & advice? especially interested in a guide service for mammoth area. any recommendations? don't want to just google & pick one. would rather a referral. tks!!!

Look up Doug Nidever. Good man, good guide. But by march, ice things sometimes start getting a little sloppy over in that region. Jan/Feb is better.
