You're pretty much SOL down there in the valley. There is/was a small wall in Corpus Christi: Corpus Christi All-Star Gym 3126 Holly Road Corpus Christi, Texas 78415 (361) 852-5333 [Edit: This place seems to be a gymnastics school and may or may not actually have a wall. Listing was from IndoorClimbing.com.] If they aren't still open you may have to come to Houston or go to Austin to get to a gym with instructors. Maybe someone else will have some better help for you. Good luck. Closest rock

Get on a bus to Potrero -I'd be doing that most weekends if I lived in McAllen -or drive or go with someone who is, which shouldn't be too hard to find.

I live in Mcallen, I'm trying to start climbing again. I have a wall I trained on for 7 years, I've been of it for three though. I cleaned it up yesterday and started climbing again. You can find me at switchfoot skateshop on 10st. My name is Kevin. Maybe you can try my wall out. Part of the reason I quit was because there was nobody to train with and nobody understood it here.

I just moved to Edinburg for the next 5 months or so. I'd love a partner for some trips to Potrero or at least a little indoor climbing.

There is one at the school gym I believe. You may be able to talk to a student into sponsoring you to join gym or go with them for like $10/day I think.
