All,
The Bald will be under a temporary closure order by the NC State Parks to begin construction and improvement of the parking area for the Bald. During this time (beginning February 1st and ending mid-March), the Bald will be Closed to climbing. For more information, updates or questions, please visit www.carolinaclimbers.org

it is worth noting that in early February, the crag will be close only on weekdays. In late February, however, access will be closed on the weekends, as well. I'd expect things to be open 1/31-2/1 and 2/7-2/8, and closed after that, but to make sure, you might try calling the park office at 828-625-1823.

All,
Unfortunately, the Bald will be CLOSED this weekend (February 14th and 15th) and the following week. Please do not hike in while the park is closed. Thanks for your cooperation!
