Do you have an unnatural fascination with gear? Spend almost as much time climbing as you do reading about, buying or otherwise thinking about gear? Do your climbing partners come to your house to shop? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Rockclimbing.com Booty Crew is looking for you!

As Rockclimbing.com progresses, so does its need for a solid crew of reviewers and we're looking for qualified folks to help us out with reviews. So, if you're interested in using (and keeping) shiny new gear, often before it’s released to the public, and writing detailed reviews about it, here's your chance.

We're looking for folks from all disciplines: trad, sport, ice, alpine, bouldering, etc. Ideally, you’ll specialize in one discipline with experience in others, but this is something we'll work out in the details.

Of course, there are some required qualifications for those interested.

1) First and foremost, we need experienced folks – people who have been climbing at least five years are preferred, but if you've been living the dirtbag lifestyle climbing 300 days a year for less than that, we can probably work something out.

2) Second, you need to climb fairly often, in general at least once a week outdoors.

3) A writing sample is required for consideration: 500-1000 words; a review of gear is preferred.

4) Since we are a user based community, folks who are established users are the folks we want reviewing gear for us. A recognizable voice in the community is important. This is sort of subjective, but we'll do our best.

Benefits (what, you think there aren't any?):

You get to keep the gear you review as compensation for the review.

The ability to pro-deal gear.

The respect and envy of all of your dirtbag partners.

So, if you've gotten this far, and you're still interested, go ahead and send an email listing your experience and discipline of choice to vegastradguy, our resident gear editor, along with a writing sample at:

vegastradguy@rockclimbing.com
