Hey there,
I have been climbing hard for over a year and half now and recently noticed a new and quite strange pain in the forearm. It is in the middle of the arm and the best way i can describe it is that my bones hurt. It has nothing to do with joints. And from what it feels like i dont think it is tendons or ligaments.
I Grip a hold and as soon as i let go it hurts like crazy.
Ive been off it for over a week and it still hurts pretty good.

any ideas what it might be and how long i should keep resting? Forearm splints? stress fracture?

There was another thread posted by someone with kind of similar symptoms a while ago.

Maybe you can pm him to ask about his follow-up.

Btw, I have no idea what "forearm splints" are.......

Have you ever thought about bone cancer?!

{j/k about that, in case you weren't sure}

take what you think a shin splint might feel like from running and put it in the middle of your forearm.

I started getting the exact same symptoms and have already chosen to start resting. I know muscle/tendon, ligament, and tendinitis pain none of which apply to the sensation associated with this injury. I'm convinced it's a stress fracture a la http://www.rockandice.com/...lbow-stress-fracture

Go see a PT or a Dr or someone, do not check webMD you'll end up with Crohns every time.
