Trying to decide where about up north would be a fun long weekend ice climbing trip. Looking at good variety. Anyone climb at Bancroft a fair bit and can give me more personal info on it?

What are you looking for in terms of grades and how many climbs are avalible? Leading or toproping? Are you looking at Eagles Nest in Bancroft specifally, or just any area further North that should still have ice after this latest warm up?

There's a book called Southern Ontario Ice that people still say MEC carries that give an overview. Please note that its not the be all end all for information. The book is old, access has changed for some of the areas, there have been new routes done and the grades in the book aren't always the most acurate.

If you want more info you can PM me. The message board over at the Toronto section ACC site can also be a good ressource. http://www.climbers.org
