April Temps?  (North_America: United_States: California: Joshua_Tree_National_Park)

How hot will it be mid april? It isn't humid in Jtree I'd imagine, so I can handle a little dry heat.

Thinking of climbing mid april during the week.

I realize that conditions will likely be better in late winter, but Mid April is our best chance to make it to JTree. Chasing shade difficult?

thanks!

http://www.almanac.com/weather/

The farmers almanac is usually pretty accurate... at least, it is here in the North East.

Have Fun!!!

www.weather.com also has rain and temp averages both high and low for Twentynine Palms, which is very close to JTree. Its should be fairly hot, but you can still get some shade. There are a lot of classic north facing routes.

And a couple thousand feet lower, therefore hotter. I'd knock off 5-10 degrees for the Park proper (but not Indian Cove). Try Googling the link for the Lost Horse Weather Station. I lost my link. It might not be active any more with all the budget cuts, etc.

EDIT to add you should be fine in mid-April.

Yeah it will be pretty hot but you can still find tons of rock to climb. Climb whatever you want in the a.m. then chase the shade in the afternoon, bouldering in the evening in the outback and nice and cool. Have fun.

weather.com has a forecast for the park itself:
