Hello everyone,
I have just emailed the indian mountaineering foundation, and they responded saying the areas to climb in India during april and May are Darjeeling, Kullu and Manali.
I plan to travel for 6 weeks, and was keen to find somewhere that offers easy access and sport climbing, and not too expensive.
Can anybody offer any advice? Whee is good for sport climbing in these areas?

depends on where you are travelling to during those two months. Mecca of bouldering & sport climbing in India is down south.
Mumbai has awesome climbing, largely rock and free. some bolted routes.
North is mostly alpine style.
