So, with the way the weather is looking here this weekend, I was wondering if Table Rock is open. I know there's a gate about a mile and a half from the parking lot, and if it is closed, it's no big deal to just hike up there. I was wondering if anyone knows if the gate will be open, or if the road is covered with snow or something like that. Is there a phone number I can call and possibly talk to a ranger to find out for sure if the gate will be open? Thanks.

i doubt it will be open, i've heard it stays closed until the first of april.
the number for the ranger station is 828-652-2144
Weather looks awesome for this weekend. i'm going to try and make it out to linville in the next two weeks so let me know if it's closed. The hike up shouldn't be too bad, it's around 1.5 to 2 miles though.

I called a couple days ago. They said it was closed until April 1st unfortunately. I'm headed up tomorrow to take advantage of the great weather.

Anybody been up here recently? How dry is the rock? I'm planning to head up tomorrow, but I heard a ton of snow fell up here.

I tried to go to pilot mnt. today and it was closed due to ice and snow. The rager said it would need a cpl days of warm weather. He also said the rocks were covered in ice and snow. I went to asheboro boulders.
