For beginners I thought the termonology page was great, now I understand everything these guys are talking about when I watch them climb. Although the word "problem" is used a bunch in rock climbing it is not in the termonology page. I am pretty sure I know what exactly it means, but could someone define it. Also could it be added to the termonology page for easy access, maybe...?

Hmmm pretty straight forward, A problem is usually associated with bouldering. Usually you either make a problem up yourself or you work on a problem that has been previously worked. I usually pick a starting point and an end point and then figure out how to get from start to finish, its a problem, see??

A problem is something that needs a soloution, wether it is to solve a climbing dificulty or in life. Climbing involves the overcoming of obsticles or solving problems. [ This Message was edited by: kagunkie on 2001-10-27 20:54 ]
