I'm originally from Springfield, MN which is not far from Windom. Now I'm living in Alexandria, MN. but I still make the time to go climbing when I can.

i've trad climbed granite, limestone, and sandstone. i don't know how much different quartzite will be vs granite. i'm really looking forward to it. i've got a trip planned for memorial day weekend with a crew from here in missouri to blue mounds. i could use a little help with partners there and a little info about the routes there. does anyone have a guidebook recommendation or anyone want to show us around when we get there?

I do not have a rack, but I have everything else that is necessary. wow, finally a reply to this post but someone else is asking for beta. well, last year when i went down on MDW, i found that if you have enough cord & or webbing to make TR anchors, there's plenty of routes you can tackle. you can sling chock stones, horns and there's a couple spots for knot placements if you lack the gear. there should be people there to help you out with setting up a toprope. just make sure you bring long enough webbing & cord to set your anchors up
