No leads, but let me know what you find out. I am moving there in July and will be looking for people/places to climb with/at.

I don't know of any climbing near Augusta, but there may be some small crags nearby. As best I can tell, your closest climbing destination would probably be Crowders up near Charlotte -- about three hours drive, maybe less. You can always drive over to Atlanta and carpool with the Atlanta Climbing Club or other locals up to the Tennessee and north Georgia crags. There may be a climbing gym in Augusta, but I'm just not aware of it. Welcome to GA when you get here! JL

go to www.getawol.com Give them a call and ask about bouldering. Seems like there are a couple of places near there but I can't remember. Otherwise make the drive up to Rumbling Bald, Table Rock, Looking Glass, etc. Stellar climbing. There is a gym about an hour from Augusta. Have to ask awol or a local for the name.

Anyone know anything about this place outside it's website? I live in Cola and haven't been there yet. Should I check it out? Or just head up to NC and do some outside stuff?

climbing is always better than not climbing... making statements as to why one type of climbing is better than another is presumptuous at best...how's the ankle holding up?
