Hey Folks,

Finally doing a trip report from my trip to the Gunks for a few days in October. It was my first time there, and man, is that place awesome. I can't wait to go back. It was the perfect time of year, all the colors were just right. Just wish we coulda stayed longer.

My girlfriend and I did some of the easy classics such as Bunny, High E, Horseman, Belly Roll, Jackie, Classic, Baby, Easy overhang.

Here are the pics. Feel free to post up your Gunks pics if you like.

And by the way, if you like my photography, please vote for me in this photography contest. (link below)

This is my girlfriend, Jojo, on Bunny, 5.5

The Carriage Rd.

Jojo and I on the GT ledge

Horseman 5.5

Camp slime wasn't so slimy, and we practically had the whole place to ourselves in the middle of the week.

A big smile after topping out on High E.

Found this little guy on the trail

The rock beckons to us through the trees.

And oh yeah, while in New york city, check out Rat Rock in Central Park. Some really weird rock, and on the weekend it was a zoo with little kids climbing all over the place on top of you.
Not a very good picture, but it's pretty cool for being in the middle of the city.

Hope ya enjoyed!

I've never seen Rat Rock look that good. Where did all the used syringes and condoms go?

Hey man. I've really enjoyed your TR's and photos you've been putting up in an attempt to get us to vote for you in that contest. Good on you for working so hard for it.

Here's the only thing. I really don't mean for this to come out like I'm being a jackass, so bear with me here. The site makes you register to vote, and there is no way to register and to opt out of getting emails from them whenever they wish to send you stuff. And, honestly, I really like your work and your attitude and would be willing to vote for you and endure that for a bit. But here comes the rub: you are currently ranked 41. Bummer. So to be typically American, I really can't see you pulling out enough votes for it to be worth the risk of an overloaded inbox.

But, again, this is America. Convince me. Why is it worth it for me to endure a possibly never-ending deluge from this site to vote for you when you are currently 41. Aaaaaaand- GO......(sorry, not you cracklover! Tongue)

Hey Altelis,

Well actually, if you don't check the little box that says "By checking this box and registering on the Name Your Dream Assignment site participants are opting in to receive contest updates and marketing email communications from Lenovo. " you shouldn't receive spam.

I read the privacy policy and it sounds like you might receive something even if you dont check the box, but I really doubt it's gonna flood your inbox. I mean, its microsoft, it's not like your gonna start getting viagra and porn emails all of the sudden.

anyways, i don't have much of a chance of making the top twenty at this point, but hey it is possible. i certainly haven't given up. If someone wanted to help me take up the cause I would have a good chance!

Hey man, if you can actually register without clicking that box, I'll do it. No worries- I'm not against voting for the long shot (unless its Nader). I am against it if i also have to suffer spam. So here goes......good luck!

Good luck, great shots. I have yet to visit but want to.

I signed up without accepting contact and no problems yet.

Good TRs and photos. I'm a wee bit jealous, and wish I had the chance to travel and climb as much as you seem to be doing.

Seriously? Create a "garbage" e-mail account through Yahoo or Hotmail and use that for registering. I've got one with Yahoo that I check once a month, just to click "Delete all."
