was up at pilot on sat. 10/6 and some punk kid took some caribiners/slings/webbing from my anchor set up on top of Kiss My Ass. i was able to track him down and get all my gear back. luckily no one climbed on the incomplete anchor or else there could have been some serious problems. i had a great time up there on sat, everyone was real friendly, the climbing was good, and i dig the climbing scene you got going on there in the NC, so the missing gear didn't ruin my day. just thought i'd let everyone know and remind them to check their anchors, watch their gear, and don't "borrow" any gear from someone's anchor without them knowing

That's grounds for a good old fashioned "ass-whooping!"

Agreed. Cams are good for softening skulls as well as protecting falls.

I had my gri gri stolen off a hanging rope once. I had to confront the girl who stole it three times before she fessed up.

There wasn't one. She just reached into the very bottom of her bag and gave it back to me. She claimed that it was an accident, but the gri gri was hanging on my rope and she had one on her harness. She also seemed to know exactly where mine was in her bag.
