Has anyone been out there yet this spring? I am wondering what shape the road in is in since my Subaru doesn't have the best clearance.
I know I can get in there in good weather but some of those wash outs make me hesitant to try it in the mud.

Have you ever gone in through the North enterance. It's a little easier. I was out a short time ago and the South way was really sketchy. Might have changed this week though.

Its been over a week ago and it was not so good. Deep snow on the road, I would say the big puddles could eat you Sub. Just about everything was wet still anyway. I'd hold off for a weeks or two.

Thanks for your 2 cents guys, I guess I'll try hitting up the pit at Deep Creek or head out to Post. I'm just eager to get back on a boulder problem that I was working last season.

Gas is over 2 dollars a gal. If that's all it's worth to ya, you'll drive out there next time yourself.Tongue

I was in there today and the road has at least two very large puddles that would be tricky for your subaru. If you come in from the back side, ie: Charles road to Long Lake and then South Bank road it's a cake walk. You can make it to the upper parking lot no problem.

I went out Saturday, the puddles were no problem, kind of fun actually. We got through them and managed to get in a good deal of climbing.
