It's not too bad in July, stay in the shade and watch out for mosquitoes down by the waterfall section, they're quite nasty!
I can see an early evening session at CC being fun (there are some fun problems there!)
Summit Rock or Goat Rock looks like it'd be fun for an early evening session as well (If they'll open it anytime soon)
The place doesn't suck, it's just another flower in the bouquet.
