I'm interested in "upgrading" my current wall harness (a semi-comfortable Petzl Adjama) to one that's a bit more comfy. (OK, a lot more comfy...) I've been looking at Misty Mountain harnesses (i.e. Cadillac? Ranger? Only a few are women's specific), but I can't find anywhere in the Phoenix area to check out the harnesses in person.
Any opinions about Misty Mountain harnesses? Or any opinions about comfy harnesses for long trad/aid?

If you search the forums for "Cadillac," I'm sure you'll find lots of comments. It comes up in almost every harness discussion. The women's Caddy is new this year - looks like they married the next size larger leg loops to each swami size and "pinked" it. They also changed the way the gear loops stack on the smaller sizes. I have a 2 year-old unsex Caddy, and do wish for larger leg loops for my big biker legs. I'll probably get the women's caddy when my current harness comes up for replacement.

It's been a year or two since I was in there, but Arizona Hiking Shack used to carry Misty Mountain harnesses. IIRC, they're at Cactus and Cave Creek Road.

i don't have a caddy, but my last two harnesses have been misty. i like them a LOT.

Sadly, the Shack doesn't have them in stock anymore...

While I don't do aid climbing, I got the women's cadillac, and LOVE it. Let's just say, sometimes I choose to sit instead of standing on some belay stations it's so comfy. Not bulky at all. And the leg loops come off. Full strength haul loop.
I LOVE this harness.

I have an Arete (guy's model) and a Turbo (guy's model with different sized leg loops/waist belt). Lypyne, you can totally call Misty, ask for Mike or Goose. Let them know what you want. They advertise on their website that they will customize a model. They make the harnesses there in Valle Cruces.
Grab a tape measure, pick out what you think you want and ring them up. Super cool folks.

Thanks for the info! I actually did call Misty Mountain earlier this week and, as you say, they were incredibly helpful. They pointed out a place in Phoenix that stocks Misty Mountain, so I was able to try on a bunch of stuff rather than do the whole "tape measure approximation" thing.

Now that I own the MM Finesse, I will never go back. They are the best!
I think I bought mine at Marty's store in PRG. He stocks at least the Finesse, if not both women's MM harnesses, I think....
