I am not the best climber in the world but feel comfortable following this rout. I would love to get this under my belt. If anyone is planing on doing this rout and doesn't mind a tag along I would be thrilled to follow. I will check back here and there. Please PM me. EDIT: Just wonted to let everyone know I have climbed on Yosemite granite up to 5-10 so yes I have done harder in this area and also I have climbed on friction slabs before.

I am replying to my own post so that those who already read it may see another thread on it and answer. If I get no takers here what do you all think the odds are of me getting on if I hike the hike up there with my shoes, and harness and just asking at the bottom of the rout? Would this be considered rude? Would I need anything else (well besides a sling to tie off and my atc)?

You'll probably have no takers at the base. Better chances at camp 4 and posting a note on the C4 board looking for a partner.

Theory versus practice, partner fell through late in the game. Wow. That's fucked up. I could swear I quoted you responding to something in my thread . . .

Still open for this and leaving tomorrow so will be in the valley the morning of the 6th (too late to get to the top unless we take death slabs). Will be there for a week if anyone would like to lead. I will be doing some other climbing but that will be done with the group I am going to Yosemite with.
