Okay, I remember some users losing some of their older PM's as the inbox used to only hold 500 or something, and any older then that were deleted.

Well, I don't know for a fact what the parameters are. There may be a limit as you say. If there is something you don't want to lose it may be wise to copy it to another place.

On the olde steam driven bakelite intertubes rc.knob there was a limit. The old PMs definitely would be deleted.
