Sharma product endorsement

Has anyone seen the product endorsement from Chris Sharma (some sort of weight lifter type powder allegedly having vitamins/nutrients/snake oil that allows for better climbing and training). I saw the advertisement in the most recent Climbing magazine. He says it allows him to recover faster.
Any thoughts on the product? Does any of that stuff work? Is that product (or similar products) widely used by high level climbers (and other similar types of athletes).
I've taken a few supplements when I was younger and never really noticed any effects, except for creatine, which caused quick and notable weight gain and strength gain as measured in bench pressing. Didn't seem like a good supplement for climbing to me.
Thanks for any thoughts--I'd be interested in considering a supplement that actually did something positive (and not do anything seriously negative).
If the guy needs/wants some money by endorsing a BS product, he wouldn't be the first and that's no big deal to me. That is, I'm a bit of a skeptic.
Still, Chris is obviously DA MAN in climbing (well one of them), and maybe its the magic powder that gives him his ability?

Edit: the product is http://www.nutriex.com/s_products.asp
Thanks PrimaryP

You mean chalk?

I heard he uses dirt on his hands, not chalk. So I immediately pitched the chalk and filled up my bad with the nastiest dirt I could find...I climb much better now.

I also heard from a buddy that Sharma doesn't drink water to hydrate. He only drinks massive quantities of Mad Dog 20/20. So I started filling up my nagaline bottle with the liquor. I don't think that makes me actually climb any better, but I feel bullet proof.

HA!

No, I didn't. Sorry to be critical, but your comment seems really dumb. Can you delete it?
Edit--read your response. Unfortunately for me, you seem to be right that most of the responses are "dumb." I wish I didn't have to "deal with it," but I guess you give me no choice. Thanks for the lesson in rc.com life.

Never heard that Sharma is a big drinker. Please delete your comment--it's dumb and unfunny. Better luck next time.

Yes, I could. But no, I won't.

I suspect that the majority of responses you get will be "dumb" in some way or other, even those that directly answer your question. Deal with it.

BTW - supplements can help. Most are snake-oil. None of them by themselves will make you climb 5.16b.

I honestly have no idea what it is that I wrote that is causing all these idiotic replies.
I'm now more interested in that than I am in the supplement. So if anyone can tell what it is, I'd appreciate it.
By the way, if the guy who is wondering if I am somehow making up that Sharma endorsed the described powder is being serious, then guy--you are an idiot.
I'll post the name of the product when I get home. (5-6 hours from now.)
In summary:
1. what's up with the powder, and
2. what's up with the stupid replies?
If any moderator has the power to delete all of the stupid replies, please do so.

To even ask this question, you'd have to be either a very bad troll or an idiot. Which is it?

Open question:
Do the OP's posts to the thread count as stupid replies?

I'm almost tempted to try & somehow make this a poll.

what's up with the stupid replies? look at your url. you're on rc.com if you expect a serious answer for your questions, you better go elsewhere.

but now for a serious answer to your question:

i put the powder in my pancakes. it makes my blue ox happy.

If the quoted is taken in isolation, you're right and I would be either a troll or an idiot (or perhaps both). In the context of the entire message, it's obvious to any normal person that I'm just asking if you think the product may actually provide some benefit or if it is a scam.
Since your reading comprehension is apparently so poor, 'll just chalk you up to being an idiot. While I have no power to stop you (but I am imploring a moderator to do so), I humbly request that you no longer post on this thread.

Consider that Sharma has been dominating sport climbing since he was 14 years old. Has he been taking his "magic powder" since then?

Consider also that this crap is available to anyone who will pay for it. If the ability to climb 5.15 could be bottled and sold, don't you think we'd all be using it?

Finally, since you think that our comments - and by extension "we" - are idiotic, then your only remaining option is to believe the advertisement. Go buy yourself 20 bottles, and report back when you've ticked your first 5.15.

Seems like you need to learn how to use the quote feature. I did not write that "Smart ass comments are thoughts."
Please (1) fix your post, and then (2) do not post further on this thread.
Thanks for your anticipated cooperation.

pfw - Why this tremendous insistence upon everyone deleting/changing/"fixing" their posts to agree with your personal opinions?

Oh, and this is a fairly free & open board - anyone can post on threads. It's up to the reader to believe it or not.

BTW - I've heard that there is a thing called "humor." Might want to consider it as a supplement.

Look, no one thinks that the magic powder will make a normal person climb 5.15. Sharma didn't say that, and my post, when read in its entirety, was obviously not asking whether (or contending that) taking the powder would allow a "normal" climber to climb that grade.

Your comments are not particularly helpful in assessing whether the product may be of some benefit. That's why I, respectfully, asked you to discontinue posting on this thread. You seem to be a smart enough person to comprehend that, so please comply.

Does it have creatine? Some hard training climbers have said creatine helps with recovery. I haven't tried it, but I imagine that if you are on a strict vegetarian diet it, along with a protein supplement could help with some phases of training.

I don't think so but I'll read the ad this evening and post. I'm guessing the product will have an Internet site, but I couldn't find it after a very quick Google search.

Unless you are familiar with the product, you may want to hold off posting until I update this thread with more information (again, that will be sometime this evening).

I'll just take a picture of the ad and post it (unless it's already on the Internet somewhere, in which case I'll link to it). I hope it's clear from all this that I am not endorsing the product (not that my endorsement would mean much, unless it's your lifetime goal to scratch up an over-graded Boulder Canyon 12a) or encouraging its use, I'm just curious.
