I heard some guys at Inner Peaks talking about some bouldering areas in the Huntersville / Davidson area. They gave me directions, but I was not able to find the bouldering area they described (probably my bad).

If anyone can confirm if that there is bouldering in N Charlotte / Huntersville / Davidson and give me directions, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

A few years back, a buddy of mine went on a mission to find climbable rock around there. That anybody knows of it is probably directly due to his efforts. I think you were probably either speaking with him or somebody who learned of them through him. I'll email him a link to this thread.

Just got an auto-reply. Looks like he's out of town for another week or so.

That is cool. I had not heard about the Dixon School Road Boulders! Another score for the CCC. However, I don't think that this was what they were talking about. The directions they provided ended around exit #23 and I-77. I would ask these guys for more info, however I have not seen them before or since, and they were not regular members...

Thanks for the heads-up on the new bouldering area at Crowders. I'll be sure to check that out!

Thanks! I would appreciate any info you could provide. Inner Peaks is a cool gym and a great place to get a workout. However, it is a solid :35 min from my house and I would prefer to climb outside. If you can find out anything about bouldering in N. Charlotte, I would be grateful!

There are a few areas in Huntersville with close to 100 problems up to V7 and 22 ft tall. Great training circuit and a way to detox your tips of plastic. Send me an email and I'd be happy to show you the boulders: slowpyro@gmail.com. Did you hear about these from Jessica?
