My wife and I are just getting started climbing in the Colorado Springs/Pueblo area. We have taken an introductory half-day climbing course through a local company at Garden of the Gods. While the course was very useful and went through the basics with us, we would love to do some top-roping with some experienced climbers before we start trying anything at all on our own. At $100 a piece for most professional guides, we'd like to find some locals who would like to take us climbing. Or should we join a climbing club? Any advice would be great.

Well, first off, welcome to the RC.com family and the incredible sport of climbing, you'll never look at rocks the same way again.

I live on Fort Carson and am smack-dab between those two places. I would be thrilled to take you guys climbing, as I go nearly every weekend to the Garden of the Gods. Feel free to drop me a PM if you are interested and we'll trade phone numbers and get together.

Who taught your class? I'm friends with most of the local guides and probably know them.

Just give me a shout and we'll get together. I've got extra harnesses if you need as well. Just let me know.
