There is a tremendous amount of climbing in the Los Alamos and White Rock area.

strange as this may seem, I am actually keeping my fingers crossed to get Holloman right now. I got the hose for stateside return bases and it's either Holloman or Minot. Frankly I say fuck Minot and it's 100's of miles of flat grass lands in ND. (Rant finish). So have any of you guys been out climbing down there Yet? I hear the Organ Mountains are a rad trad/slab area and that the tunnel is close with good sport and then Hueco is like 2.5 hours away. So whats the skinny? Are these areas all they are cracked up to be? What's the local climbing seen like? Is there a gym anywhere near by for weekday training? Well reguardles, hopefully i will be there in May and i will be looking for partners, preferably for long trad multi-pitch stuff but would be willing to partner for bouldering trips to Hueco, and even hit the occasional sport wall.
