I thought i lost my wires a couple weekends back and ordered a new set of Wild Country mini rocks through 10. On our next trip out, they showed up. I just paid 113 bucks for the new nuts should i keep them or sell em?

The gear in hand is worth more than all the gear in the catalog, combined. Price tag of money already spent is irrelevant on the sharp end. What matters then is... Got Nut? DMT

keep them, you'll fix a few, bail on some, ect over time, then wish you had more

Another vote for keeping them. But methinks you'd be better off carrying them up, actively using them rather than just keeping them around for bail gear . I usually carry a double set of nuts except for the smallest one and some of the largest ones. Not in every area, but in quite a few.

A lot depends on the climbs you tend to do, and how you tend to do them. But, I'd vote for keeping them, and carrying (at least some of) them. If you should need to bail, it doesn't hurt so much to use something that's duplicated. You can take a new look at cracks - "gee, can I climb this with no active pro now that I have many more nuts?" And, what would you get for the price that you could sell the nuts? But, the major reason is: When your partner drops one of your nuts you can say "Nah, you don't have to replace that...just buy me a beer."
