Are there any sport climbs in Georgia? Specifically around the metro atlanta area?

There's really not much in the way of sport climbing in GA; the only place I can think of with more than one or two sport routes is the Brick Wall section of Currahee. There's definitely none in the metro Atlanta area.

Yonah has the 2-man routes as well. They are the colored routes, probably 6 or 7 routes. Easy slab climbing. There are also a few 5.9's and one 5.10 that could be sport lead on the main face of Yonah, but you need some huevos. You could also do the arete at Buzzard's wall at Curahee, which is a 5.7, but sketchy as hell. The Brick Wall like sax said is good, but pumpy. The crux clip on Pigs is kind of dangerous.

There is a 12a with two bolts at allenbrook.
There are a handful (3ish) sport routes at the white wall at Yonah in the 10 to 11 range.

I concur, The white Wall has one of my favorite Yonah routes. The Return of the Jodi,5.10b/c fun lead a little heady but all in all lots of fun. I found a line coming out of the chatahoochee river. It doesnt have anchors at the top. Currahee is not to far. Mickeys mantel is a favorite of mine. Its a 5.10a I would call these routes to be a mental mind trick. They are a little far in between bolts. Slabby climbing. If you want to sport climb a day trip to Foster Falls is a good idea or Sandrock.

John I went to the gorge over the weekend to find some boulders on the floor. I got there asked for a climbing permit and they said we have none. I then was wondering how many climbers could be in the gorge today its hot as hell. I then had the girlfriend try to ask as I may not have been to clear. I wanted a climbing permit not a floor permit. She went she asked and they said," WE HAD A LARGE GROUP AND RAN OUT OF FLOOR PERMITS SO THEY GAVE THEM CLIMBING PERMITS. SO THE GROUP COULD STAY TOGETHER." I have been there three times in the past couple months and havent been down this year yet. So I went to the chattooga river and found a couple places to climb. I hate the fact that the gorge is in a national forest and the state gets to run it. I did get my 5 dollars for parking back and the lady asked why I was leaving I told her they had no permits for climbing and she told me. Only one time have they ever ran out of climbing permits in the past 4 or 5 years.
Anyhow if you want to climb near Atlanta try: Boatrock, bouldering
Allenbrook, Toprope
Palasades Tick Infested till cooler weather
Panola mntn. Bouldering in designated areas
Other than that:
Sandrock: easy approach:Alabama 2 hours from ATL
Foster Falls: Chatty in a gorge nice waterfall and pool
The ObedTennessee: Bouldering and sport. Ticks in the summer
Leeda. Near chatty dont know but a few friends like it.
